Values Collection | 9090 Caffettiera
Designed by Richard Sapper for Alessi, the 9090 Caffettiera was the first espresso maker in Alessi's history and the first Alessi object to be inducted into the Museum of Modern Art's Permanent Design Collection. Reimagined for the Values Collection, this limited edition piece has a distinctive red handle – designed by Sapper, but never produced until now – perforated to increase heat dispersion. This iconic piece, a product of one of the most important industrial designers of the last century, is famous for its sleek design and innovative hinged handle which releases the top from the bottom (as opposed to unscrewing it) and its non-drip spout. The wide base makes full use of the heat source while protecting the handle. This elegant espresso maker is available in two sizes.
